Fred Jacobs of Jacobs Media, who shared this memory of his former colleague: “Biv was on the sales team at WRIF/Detroit when I joined the station in ’78. One of the good guys. Exceptional team player in every sense of the word. An old school sales guy in that he LOVED the station, always looking for ways to elevate the client experience — while doing no harm to the brand.” Jacobs added, “Biv was the guy you’d grab a beer with after work, he was on the station’s softball team, and played bass in ‘The Bruiser Band,’ the station group that formed under the J.J. & the Morning Crew umbrella. Biv was a great soul… Radio through and through.”
