KTRK: Video Tape Editor
“KTRK, late 80’s. Made the jump to non-linear in the mid-90’s, but there was something about driving a few tape machines, a pair of Abekas DVEs, a Quantafont Q8 (later an Abekas A-72), a Sony audio board, and a Grass Valley 1600 series switcher that seemed to make the process a lot more real. The hands-on, tactile feel can’t be replaced by the drag-and-drop and right-clicks of today!
For what it’s worth, my hair is actually longer nowadays!” – Paul McKenna / Facebook
